My style is based around moving and versatility. In the modern world we move home a lot more than we used to. The furniture that we choose to have with us needs to be up to the task of moving with us. That means designing pieces that are useful, movable and can change their function over time to suit different spaces. The crafts-person merely makes an object. The owner chooses how to use it. These objects are much more than their function. They live with us and can create emotional responses. And playing with form, texture and colour can bring an element of surprise, energy or calm to your home depending on the combination of materials. I love the effect colour can have so I have chosen to incorporate an element of colour in each of my pieces, whether as a bold statement or a subtle hint.
